Airport numbers 'going up'
The airport at Targu-Mures is set to see increased traffic levels this year, according to reports.
By the end of the year, the venue is projected to have seen 160,000 people through its doors, reports zf.ro.
Further, it said that it expects to see 100,000 people though its doors by the end of August alone.
Compared to last year, this means that traffic be three times higher, when 47,316 passengers were recorded, the paper stated.
Such figures came from representatives at the airport.
A number of airlines currently fly from the airport, including Whizz Air, Tarom and Malev.
The first of those companies offers flights to Rome, Barcelona and Budapest from the area, the paper added. It is also expected to offer flights to London in the coming months.
In related news, a business centre in Romania has so far been popular, with 25% of the Power Business Centre already rented out.
