Biofuel firm considers new plant in Bulgaria
German energy firm Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie is said to be considering constructing a new biofuel production facility in the Varna region in Bulgaria.
According to investor.bg, the firm is currently investigating the most suitable areas for the plant, the Sofia Echo reports.
In a development which may benefit those considering buying a property in the region, the company's managing director Claus Sauter told the news provider that Bulgaria could become the region's leading producer of biofuels.
Verbio is expected to invest 100 million euros in the project and apply for a first-class investment certificate in the country.
According to the country's vice minister of labour and social policy Dimitar Dimitrov, unemployment in Bulgaria fell to 7.06% during August, news.bg reports.
The news provider noted that data produced by the country's employment agency showed that unemployment was at 7.25% during the previous month.
