Brazil launches new marketing drive
The Brazilian tourist board has announced the launch of new worldwide advertising campaign.
Embratur's promotional strategy has been designed to showcase the South American country's various attractions in a bid to encourage more people to visit.
The campaign will encompass various media, including television, internet and print publications.
As well as potentially boosting the tourism sector, this initiative could also help boost the appeal of Brazil among overseas property buyers.
Luiz Barretto, minister of tourism, commented: "The objective is to create higher demand for Brazilian destinations and support the products and services within those destinations."
He added that authorities in Brazil are keen to share the "beauty and wonders" of the country with more people.
This, he stated, would encourage them to stay longer and become acquainted with new places.
The announcement comes shortly after the Brazilian Travel Agency Association stated that it is expecting visitor numbers to rise by 10% in 2008, reports Brazzil Mag.
