Brazil 'offers affordable property prices'
Overseas property buyers have been encouraged to consider snapping up a bargain residence in Brazil.
According to the BuyAssociation website, it is possible to find property in the South American country at less than £50,000.
This, it said, could make it an ideal option for prospective buyers who have been affected by the recent downturn in the UK economy.
Paul Collins, property editor at BuyAssociation, commented: "There are still a surprising number of new and old properties that can be found without the need for a huge second mortgage."
Brazil was praised for offering a number of attractions, such as a desirable lifestyle and strong investment potential.
Mr Collins said the country offers attractions one would expect to find in the Caribbean, such as hot and sunny weather.
According to property analyst Amberlamb, Brazil's gross domestic product is expected to increase by 4.8% this year.
The website said this means that second home buyers who purchase a Brazilian residence could get healthy short-term returns.
