Britons advised to travel outside eurozone

Holidaymakers from the UK have been advised to consider travelling outside the eurozone.

According to MSN Money, many consumers are facing financial problems such as rising fuel costs and the falling value of the pound.

In fact, the British currency has slumped against the euro by nearly one-fifth in the last 12 months to an all-time low.

This means that prices in eurozone countries such as Italy and Portugal are now much more expensive for British visitors, as they cannot get as much for their money.

As a result, MSN Money has suggested that people seek cheaper and better-value alternatives outside the eurozone.

The website commented: "Countries such as Turkey and Romania may have currencies pegged to the euro but they haven't joined it - yet.

"So grab a bargain before they do."

This follows similar advice from the Mirror, which said holidaymakers will be "quids in" if they head to non-eurozone countries.
