Britons 'getting more adventurous'
Britons are increasingly choosing to buy property abroad because they are becoming more adventurous, according to an expert.
Amanda Lamb, presenter of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun, said that people were coming up with more daring means of improving their lifestyle and were strongly attracted to the idea of living abroad.
Speaking to Female First, she said Britons were tempted to invest in overseas properties because they found the way of life in other countries, such as being able to enjoy a sunny climate, highly appealing.
Ms Lamb added that there were several investment hotspots across the world that could be good options for foreign property buyers to consider.
She commented: "For me personally I think southern Italy is a good place, places like Calabria and Apulia - the heel and the boot of Italy."
According to a Yorkshire Bank study, 43 per cent of Britons are currently considering investing in a foreign property market.
