Britons in Spain 'move around'
New figures released by the Bank of Spain stated that 11% of expats living in the country moved home for work purposes last year.
This was in comparison with 3% of Spaniards who did likewise, with employment situations in Spain having altered over the last 10 years, reports Homes Worldwide.
People who formerly lived in Britain tend to move closer to the areas with high employment rates, the bank stated, away from areas where there is little unemployment.
At first, Brits may live in locations where there are many other UK natives, before moving on to more rural villages after they gain in confidence.
Spanish people, on the other hand, choose to stay as close to the place they were born as possible, with their families near by.
Many mortgage brokers have seen an increase in the number of enquires regarding overseas property in a number of countries such as Spain from customers, according to financial services provider Baydonhill.
