Britons seek to move abroad
An increasing number of people from the UK are looking to live abroad permanently, according to experts.
Assetz Finance revealed that it has seen a 10% rise in the number of enquiries regarding foreign property in the last few months, reports IFAOnline.
The organisation stated that many of these people are not investment buyers and are instead keen to relocate to another country.
Katy Hepworth, overseas mortgage manager at Assetz Finance, commented: "Buying a home overseas has become an increasingly accessible option for those looking for a change of lifestyle."
She added that Spain and France are proving to be particularly popular locations, partly because mortgage lenders are offering a wider range of products.
This comes after the Office for National Statistics revealed that the number of Britons choosing to move abroad is continuing to increase.
The organisation highlighted Spain and France as two of the most popular destinations for people from the UK.
