Brits 'eating at home in Spain'
A greater number of British people travelling to and living in Spain are starting to eat at home rather than dine out, according to Homes Worldwide.
Based on figures released by the European commission that stated restaurant prices have increased by 40% since the country took up the euro, the publication suggested that home dining is preferred.
One reason for the shift is that all-inclusive holiday packages have been on the rise, it said.
Despite the rise in home eating, British people are nevertheless choosing to devour Spanish food while in the country, such as Mediterranean vegetables.
Homes Worldwide noted that a number of foodhalls enhance the availability of local delicacies and have plentiful supplies of goods. This enhances the overall experience of living in Spain, it added.
In related news, Junta de Andalucia recently noted that there are a number of job opportunities for expats in the Malaga area.
