Bulgaria takes the holiday message to Germany
A delegation from Bulgaria will join exhibitors from 73 countries at the Caravan Boot Reisen (CBR) tourism exposition this weekend.
The German event will take place in the city of Munich and will bring together representatives from around 1,500 organisations to discuss and promote the leisure and tourism industry.
Visitors to the event will find many ideas for adventures in travel and tourism across the 66,000m2 site and Bulgaria's display will take up approximately 24m2.
Although coastal resorts in Bulgaria are already popular with German tourists, Bulgaria's representatives are anxious to promote it as an all-year round destination.
One news agency from Sofia claims that this presentation will help to develop the Bulgarian national advertising programme, announced this month by the government.
The CBR expo aims to connect tourism organisations with hotels and holiday homes as well as travel agencies and tour operators.
Nearly 529,000 German tourists visited the country in 2006, with a large proportion visiting beaches and coastal resorts on the Black Sea.
