Bulgaria's Black Sea boom builds up
The Bulgarian Black Sea summer season 2007 has opened in St Konstantin and Elena with many signs that the region is promising investors opportunities for capital growth
Situated near the port city of Varna, the resort is expecting a 10% rise in hotel bookings, according to Dnevnik Daily, the Sofia Echo reports.
The paper states that many of these extra visitors are expected to come from fellow EU countries such as the UK, Germany, Romania, Poland, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
Bulgaria joined the EU on January 1st 2007 and may be poised to benefit from its raised profile among other member states.
Another sign of growth in the Black Sea tourist market has been demonstrated by the increase in investment property in the region.
Bulgarian real estate company Activ Properties has just invested in a 4.8 hectare property near the resort of Sozopol, Dnevik reports.
A holiday complex is planned for the site.
