Buy-to-let investors to benefit from growth in visits to Turkey?

Turkey is an increasingly popular choice for British tourists looking for sun overseas, it has been observed.

The latest American Express Global Foreign Services Currency Index revealed that people in the UK remain determined to take a break abroad in the summer.

And director of trading and business development Terry Perrin explained that Turkey appears to be one of the most attractive destinations, with demand for currency up 26% compared to last year.

"Despite the tightening of purse strings up and down the country, Brits were just not prepared to forgo their annual summer holiday," he said, a suggestion that could benefit those investing in buy-to-let property.

Meanwhile, a Marks & Spencer Travel Money report has shown that the Turkish lira was the third highest selling currency in the second and third quarters of the year, with the desire of many people to holiday outside the eurozone cited as a potential reason.
