Conference 'to boost Bulgarian tourism channels'
Bulgaria will host this year's World Association of Travel Agencies (Wata) assembly, according to new reports.
It is set to welcome the conference for the first time in 58 years, Dnevnik daily reports, cited by the Sofia Echo.
In addition, representatives from 40 different countries are set to attend as the event gathers pace.
This year, the theme is to see how the number of services available to tourists can be maximised and to look at the challenges facing the Wata in the future.
Moreover, it will be discussed how Bulgaria can make itself more popular as a tourism destination and how it can take advantage of its culture and history.
Officials from the state agency for tourism will put Bulgarian tourism services into the limelight, the paper reports.
New investments are also set to be made into the Bulgarian State Railway network, after an announcement by representative Mihail Dragiev.
