Croatia 'increasing as business success'
Croatia is becoming an increasingly fertile ground for investors, it has emerged.
The country offers strong investment opportunities and its government has recently been applauded for pulling off a masterstroke of business, the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network reveals.
After the authority sold off a stake in T-Hrvatski Telekom, it has won praise for its business nouse and is aiming to make investors find opportunity within the country.
T-Hrvatski Telekom is branded as T-Mobile in other European countries.
Prime minister Ivo Santander said that local investors will have a "good experience" with the business interests locally after the move.
Furthermore, the publication notes that the sale has enabled the government to pay off certain debts that it held, thereby boosting the investors already operating and retirees within the country.
Political commentator David Gennaro told the news source: "It is timed for two reasons: first to mend budget holes for the payment of arrears to pensioners and second as a manoeuvre transferring money into citizens' pockets."
