Cyprus offers capital growth prospects
Overseas property investors could benefit from capital growth in Cyprus, according to industry analysts.
Home Move stated that house prices on the Mediterranean island have risen steadily throughout the last few years.
The website added that property values went up by 12% last year, an amount it described as "impressive".
This means that property investors who purchase a relative bargain in Cyprus could find that their residence appreciates in value over a fairly short period.
As a result, they could be in line to make a considerable profit should they come to sell up at a later date.
Home Move commented: "It is predicted that prices will continue to rise for the foreseeable future - current estimates put 2008 increases around 8%."
The website added that growth on the island has also been boosted by its accession to the European Union in 2004.
Cyprus's international ties were further strengthened earlier this year when it became a member of the single European currency.
