Cyprus 'offers winter sun'
People who are seeking sunshine at winter have been advised to consider travelling to Cyprus.
UK newspaper the Times recommended the island as a good destination because it offered a good climate and had a range of attractions such as historical sites.
The publication also suggested that areas such as Paphos could be enjoyed more at this time of year than in high summer.
A similar opinion was expressed by the Telegraph, which said the heat was less stifling in winter, therefore making activities such as sightseeing much more pleasant.
The newspaper commented: "The summer clings on longer in Cyprus than anywhere else in the Med, so if you are looking for some warm rays before winter sets in, there are few better holiday destinations."
This could prove to be tempting to people considering investing in a foreign market in order to experience better weather.
Recently, the Association of British Travel Agents stated that many second home owners were likely to spend Christmas at their foreign holiday residence in order to enjoy some winter sun.
