Emerging markets attract British investors
Emerging property markets are becoming more and more popular with British investors, it has been revealed.
Global Edge analysed the number of online searches for major investment hotspots in order to compare their relative popularity and gauge the level of demand.
Although established destinations in Europe topped the list, emerging markets such as Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates were also found to be very popular.
Both countries ranked very highly, making it to the top 10, while Morocco was identified as the most popular country in Africa, coming in at 13th place.
This put it well ahead of rival African markets such as Egypt, which was ranked 57th overall.
Meanwhile, Brazil was found to be the most popular destination in South America, coming 22nd in the worldwide listings.
According to Exchange Bond, British and Irish residents now own up to 3.81 million foreign properties.
