Eurozone 'is still affordable'
British holidaymakers who are visiting a eurozone country can still find affordable prices, experts have revealed.
According to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA), the weakness of the pound against the euro has driven up the cost of travelling to some European nations.
However, the organisation said that varying prices across the eurozone means that some places still offer relatively good value for money.
Frances Tuke, spokesperson for ABTA, highlighted Portugal and Spain as two such destinations, as they offer significantly lower food prices.
Speaking to the Western Mail, she commented: "If you look for the right places and eat where the locals eat, you can still get a good deal."
She added that the strength of the euro against the pound does not mean that all European countries are out of reach.
Meanwhile, research by Teletext Holidays has revealed that Spain is still one of the most popular European honeymoon destinations.
