Expats 'embedded in Dordogne'
Dordogne, a region in France, which has more expats than anywhere else in the country, is home to around 2,500 Britons.
The British way of life is firmly embedded in the region's culture, with shops and restaurants catering for UK tastes.
In addition to the cricket field, one other sign of integration is the fact that five Britons are hoping to be voted into the town hall in upcoming council elections, reports the Daily Mail.
Brits are attracted to the countryside, its climate, food and especially the price of property, which is much cheaper than in the south of England.
Steve Hedgeland, a local estate agent, told the paper: "Generally they will have had enough of being tied down by a huge mortgage and will want a quieter life.
"They will often be looking to take their children away from negative influences that they see in Britain - be it drink, drugs or gangs."
Tourism is a leading industry in the region thanks to its chateaux, gardens, medieval towns, unspoiled countryside and rivers.
