Expats in Italy 'should learn language'
People who are relocating to Italy need to be familiar with the language, according to experts.
Property analyst ShelterOffshore.com said anyone who is relocating to the country should have a good knowledge of the native tongue, particularly if they are in employment.
The website stated that this would not only help expatriates make a good first impression, but could also help them get ahead in their career.
In addition, it said their Italian colleagues could have far more respect for them if they take the trouble to learn their language.
ShelterOffshore.com remarked: "If you're going to be moving to Italy, you need to know how the Italians work and how you should be working."
The online portal added that understanding the Italian form of business etiquette is also important for a foreign national who works in the country.
Last month, ShelterOffshore.com said the UK is currently seeing a "mass exodus", as emigration has reached record levels in recent years.
