Famous names 'flock to Montenegro'
A number of celebrities are adding fire to the property boom in Montenegro, according to reports.
Both these people and those looking for a place to live by the sun are flocking to the country in large numbers, Agence France-Presse states.
A number of houses have been snapped up in idyllic locations on coastlines and up in the mountains, reports the Turkish Daily News.
Moreover, since the country gained independence prices have seen a 2-fold increase, if the reports are correct.
A mixture of foreigners are interested in property, including those from Ireland, Britain and Russia.
Ms Margaret Hodgson bought a property in the Bay of Kotor and said she is happy with her purchase.
"We came down to spend a week here, and decided to buy a flat too. Here in the bay it is fabulous. We like the people and the food is excellent," she stated.
Famous names to have invested in the region include Hollywood starts Sylvester Stallone and Elizabeth Taylor, according to the paper.
Easier.com reported last week that the country can be accessed directly from Britain by the air.
