Foreign buyers snap up Moroccan property
A growing number of foreign property buyers are choosing to enter the Moroccan housing market, according to a media report.
The Associated Press stated that the north African country has become a "real estate hotspot" because it offers attractions such as good scenery and warm weather.
Morocco's vibrancy and diversity were flagged up as other positive features that have made it very popular with "fashionable and sophisticated" leisure travellers.
Commenting on the country, the Associated Press said some areas are seeing considerable growth as a result.
"Marrakech has seen prices quadruple in the last 10 years and prices are continuing to rise about 20% a year," it remarked.
The media outlet added that new developments are constantly being built within the city, although older properties are also attracting lots of interest.
Morocco was recently recommended to foreign property buyers by Home Move, which described it as one of the strongest investment options in the world.
