Foreign investors drawn to Brazil

Brazil is attracting a growing amount of foreign direct investment, an industry analyst has stated.

Chintan Mahida, property specialist at NuBricks.com, said the South American country is becoming a popular investment hotspot because it offers good market conditions.

Brazil was described as a nation which is on the way to becoming one of the world's "economic powerhouses", partly because of its wealth in natural resources.

In addition, the government was said to be proactively encouraging investment from overseas.

Ms Mahida stated that this is in turn leading to greater demand for housing in Brazil, as more and more big businesses are moving in and creating new jobs.

Therefore, she believes it is likely to attract greater attention from overseas property buyers in the near future.

"Investors seek out markets where rental returns are good and properties provide good cash flow," she commented.

Brazil's economy is set to receive a further boost when it hosts the Fifa World Cup for the second time in its history in 2014.
