France attracts British expats
More and more British citizens are choosing to set up home in France full-time, a media outlet has revealed.
The Telegraph stated that an increasing number of people from the UK are opting to relocate to another country every year.
France was highlighted as one of the most popular destinations for British expatriates, particularly those aged over 40.
Commenting on its appeal, the publication said: "One of the main reasons cited for moving is a better quality of life."
The Telegraph added that this was one of the main reasons for people choosing to live in developed countries such as EU member states, as they offer a comparable standard of living.
However, expatriates were advised to consider issues such as the accessibility of their new home from the UK and provision of public services, such as schools and healthcare.
This comes after the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors revealed that house prices in France went up by 3% last year.
