France offers high living standards
France offers the best quality of life in the whole world, a new study has revealed.
International Living compared a variety of factors in 192 different countries, such as living costs, the quality of their infrastructure and their respective economies.
France was rated highly in all these areas, which helped it to achieve an overall score of 85% - more than any other country.
The European nation was able to achieve a 100% rating in several specific areas, such as its healthcare provision, safety and level of freedom.
Meanwhile, France's leisure attractions and cultural outlets were given a 98% rating, placing it second only to Italy in this area.
The findings could account for the current popularity of France among second home buyers from the UK, as well as expatriates.
This comes after the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors revealed that house prices in France went up by 3% last year.
