French flights launched by Eastern Airways
Eastern Airways has started operating its first ever scheduled flights to France this week.
The new service between Southampton and Angers Loire should significantly enhance the accessibility of the region for people living in the south of England, potentially benefiting both business and leisure travellers.
Furthermore, the addition of the flight to the carrier's timetable also opens up the market to prospective investors in French property.
Commenting on the service, Chris Holliday of Eastern Airways described the launch as a "historic day" for the company.
He said: "This service will not only appeal to holidaymakers, but also those travelling on business."
The flights depart from Southampton Airport three times a week and offer access to popular areas of France such as the Loire Valley.
This comes after currency specialist HiFX reported that levels of interest in the country's property market among UK buyers increased during the summer.
