'Further investment' in Romania
A French company has confirmed that it wishes to invest in an as yet unnamed construction firm in Bucharest.
The Acvatot construction company stated that it wanted to build on its level of business and look to invest in an organisation in Romania, reports zf.ro.
It is the domestic division of the firm Setha and the move will allow for expansion, an official at the company told the publication.
Administrator of Acvatot Fran'ois Debergh said that this will enable greater growth, if a similar group is purchased in the future.
"The company's organic development will not allow us to gain a more than 10% growth in the next few years, which is why we intend to [buy a] construction company that carries out similar activities, such as the rehabilitation of heating systems," the official told the paper.
According to the publication, the firm had turnover of 19 million euros (£12.7 million) last year.
In related news, a growing number of businesses are attracted to Romania, said an expert at the Continental Romania body.
