Golf event in Portugal for good causes

Celebrities were in attendance in Portugal last week for the Safe Hands Charity Golf Classic in the Algarve.

The event was organised to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and was hosted by the ex-England shot-stopper David Seaman, reports Homes Worldwide.

Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure Resort was the venue for the event that included 23 teams gunning for the top prize, made up of the public and famous faces.

These included the runner Kriss Akabusi, Clayton Blackmore, Dane Bowers and the Wolves hero Steve Bull.

The resort is situated in the western Algarve and offers a mixture of scenic beaches and tranquil villages.

After the main event, guests could also bid for a number of prizes at a special auction where there was also a gala dinner.

In related news, new laws have meant that it is now easier for European Union residents to settle in Portugal, according to the Resident.
