Investors advised to consider Morocco

Overseas property buyers have been advised to consider investing in the Moroccan market.

Advice website BuyAssociation said the north African country could potentially be a good option for foreign investors, as it had a number of reasonably priced houses.

In addition, it stated that Morocco's popularity as a holiday destination was also helping to attract property buyers, as it meant that demand for rental accommodation would be high.

Paul Collins, overseas property editor of BuyAssociation, commented: "Morocco is still a very good investment because properties are at a level which is affordable."

He added that the Moroccan properties tended to be much cheaper than those in some parts of Europe.

This comes after the Telegraph reported that foreign investment in places such as Marrakesh and Fez was causing a property boom in these areas.

The newspaper stated that house prices were "soaring" as a result of the strong interest among buyers from other countries.
