Investors advised to look at Turkish market

Overseas property investors have been advised to consider purchasing in the Bodrum peninsula in Turkey.

The Sun newspaper described the region as "captivating", praising its natural attributes such as the good weather and attractive scenery.

However, the publication added that Bodrum, located in the south-west of Turkey, was equally good in the financial sense and could potentially be a strong investment.

The newspaper said: "Prices have jumped in recent years as the peninsula has realised its potential for tourism."

However, it added that the opportunity for developing new properties close to the sea was becoming rarer because there was an "abundant" supply already.

In addition, the Sun said that since the UK housing market was slowing down, Turkey could be a good alternative for prospective property investors seeking to make money from their purchase.

Last week, BuyAssociation described the country as one of the top ten investment markets in the world.
