Investors 'should look at fast-growing markets'
Overseas property investors have been advised not to overlook potentially lucrative destinations.
Paula Hawkins of the Times said that many buyers tended to focus their attention on popular holiday destinations such as France as Spain.
However, she stated that these may not be the best options for people who want to make money from their investment.
Ms Hawkins commented: "When it comes to overseas property investment, hearts rule heads."
She recommended that overseas property buyers look at markets that are currently experiencing faster growth, as this will allow them to benefit from more capital appreciation.
Morocco was highlighted as one good option for investors to consider, along with eastern European countries such as Montenegro.
Holiday-Rentals recently revealed that British interest in the Montenegrin property market has increased considerably in the last year.
The organisation stated that during the 12 months to October 2007, the number of properties in the country it had listed on its books rose by 113 per cent.
