Investors take advantage of downturn
The downturn in the global economy is being actively embraced by many overseas property buyers, it has been suggested.
According to NuBricks.com, economic problems such as the credit crunch have reduced demand for homes in other countries.
However, the website believes that some investors are not allowing themselves to be put off and are instead viewing the current turmoil as an investment opportunity.
This, it stated, is because some of the declining markets have a lot of housing stock available at a knock-down price.
Adam Samuel, spokesperson for NuBrick.com, commented: "It is a buyer's market, which means you can find properties to buy that in the long-term are going to give you good returns."
He added that some investors are "enjoying" this period because of the current potential to make money.
This comes after a study by the Financial Times found that people across Europe are largely hopeful that house prices will keep going up over the next five years.
