Kilroy's Spanish property 'a good earner'
Spanish property investors looking for a lucrative rental market may want to follow the example of Robert Kilroy-Silk.
The European MP and former TV presenter is reportedly earning 12,700 euros (£11,764) a week by renting out his luxury 11-bedroom villa near Casares, a town in Malaga province.
According to Andalusian newspaper the Olive Press, the property is constantly in demand among wealthy holidaymakers due to its picturesque location, two swimming pools and 150-acre gardens.
One property agent told the newspaper: "He has been renting it for the last seven years. I think it has been a good earner for him.
"He also rents out other cottages in the grounds."
Kilroy-Silk is believed to have invested in several renovations since acquiring the property, which he visits in person about once a month.
Spain is still the number one destination for internet property searches, according to a recent chart from homesoverseas.co.uk.
