Leisure travellers urged to book early
People who plan to visit long-haul destinations have been advised to book their trips as soon as they can.
According to travel expert Sophie Butler, non-European countries could be good places to visit during the winter months.
However, she has encouraged people planning a trip over the Christmas and new year period to book early, as holidays are currently being snapped up.
Writing in the Telegraph, she said: "Agents say the booking season is in full flow and remaining availability will dry up quickly."
Ms Butler added that South American countries such as Brazil are proving to be very popular with leisure travellers this year.
This comes shortly after Which? Holiday recommended that families who want to get away next summer could benefit from booking their trips within the next two months.
The consumer group said this could help holidaymakers avoid disappointment further down the line.
