LTE hints at more Spanish services from Norwich
Airline operator LTE is hoping that flights to Spain from Norwich International Airport will be popular, so they can increase routes to the Mediterranean country and other nations.
Chief executive of the company Michael Harrington told the Norwich Evening News that he hopes levels of demand from the East Anglian public will allow LTE to put on extra flights.
More routes being created to the Mediterranean country may potentially benefit those with investment property there, as increased accessibility from the UK could boost tourism in Spain.
Currently, holidaymakers can access the popular destinations of Alicante, Palma and Barcelona from Norwich.
More than 15 million people visited Spain between January and April 2008, according to government data reported by the Typically Spanish website.
The Costa del Sol which includes resorts such as Malaga and Marbella have traditionally been popular locations with people from the UK.
