Monarch Airlines launches new Spanish service
The ease of access to Spain has been boosted by the launch of a new flight to the Murcia region.
Monarch Airlines has just begun operating its service to the area from Manchester Airport, a move which further opens up Murcia to consumers in the north-west of England.
The carrier will operate the flights five times a week until the summer, at which point it will be stepped up to a daily service.
Commenting on the new route, Liz Savage of Monarch said the airline was "delighted" to be flying between Manchester and Murcia.
She commented: "We have been overwhelmed by how well it has been received with the first flight almost fully booked and over 20,000 bookings already taken."
This suggests that the Murcia region is set to benefit from increased visitor numbers, which means that demand for rental accommodation is also likely to grow.
The are was recently described as an "up and coming" market by property expert Paul Collins from the BuyAssociation website.
