Montenegro named as 'one of the most potent property investment markets in the world'
Montenegro has been named as one of the world's best property investment hotspots by a property consultancy, which has highlighted the country's rocketing real estate prices.
Colliers International Serbia pointed out that in some areas investors are seeing capital returns of up to 50% per year, with Budva and Sveti Stefan being singled out for achieving some of the highest land prices in the country.
Additionally, the company points out Montenegro's strong economic growth figures and low inflation, as well as a burgeoning share foreign direct investment - all positive factors for property investment.
Jovan Jovanovic, manager of investment and corporate advisory services at Colliers International Serbia, explained: "Montenegro's coastline has become one of the most potent property investment markets in the world, as our research shows.
He concluded by saying official figures reveal that Montenegrin real estate prices have increased by some 400% over the last 2 years.
Montenegro is Europe's newest independent country and has been widely tipped to achieve EU accession over the next 10 years.
