Montenegro praised as a 'new and exciting' destination
Montenegro has been praised by one travel writer as a "new and exciting" destination, marked by "talent, delivery and unexpected beauty.
Lonely Planet travel writer Vesna Maric said that Europe's newest country has newfound ambition since its independence from Serbia last year, with increasing numbers of tourists making the trip.
The claim is backed up by recent statistics published by the Visit-Montenegro website, which demonstrated a burgeoning number of tourists passing through the country's major airports.
However, Ms Maric suggested that people looking to visit the country should act quickly to make the most of their trip: "Montenegro is still relatively cheap, but if you want to visit, it's best if you get on your way soon - this little country's got big ambitions."
She also highlighted the diversity of attractions in the country - as well as having pristine beaches, Montenegro is also noted for its grey mountainous terrain, for people who enjoy a good walk in the sun.
Recently, Arlette Adler, spokesperson for the Federation of Overseas Property Developers, Agents and Consultants, explained that Montenegrin property is a "good proposition" for investors.
