Montenegro to attract investors

Montenegro looks set to become a major hotspot for overseas property investors, according to industry analysts.

Foreign Property Buyer said the introduction of direct flights from Gatwick Airport should make the eastern European country more easily accessible to Britons.

This means that it is likely to see a significant increase in the number of holidaymakers, a development which will push up demand for rental accommodation in many areas.

Furthermore, the website understands that the government has pledged to improve the country's infrastructure.

This should serve to enhance its overall desirability and suitability, which in turn could push up property values.

Foreign Property Buyer commented: "It is easy to see why some investors are getting excited about Montenegro."

The website site added that the country, which already uses the euro, is expected to join the European Union in the next few years.

This comes after the Telegraph reported that Montenegro has become more popular with investors in the wake of its appearance in the James Bond film Casino Royale.
