Montenegro to open up to investors

Overseas property investors will soon benefit from improved access to Montenegro, a British newspaper has said.

Montenegro Airlines will begin operating direct services to the eastern European country from London Stansted Airport next month.

According to the Telegraph, this will be a positive development for people who own real estate in Montenegro, as British visitors currently have to fly via Dubrovnik in Croatia.

The introduction of new flights is also likely to trigger further growth in its tourist industry, which in turn will impact on its rental market.

Therefore, Montenegro could prove to be a potentially lucrative investment opportunity.

Commenting on the move, the Telegraph said this would provide "a boost for property owners in this fast-growing holiday destination".

This comes after the Foreign Property Buyer website said the imminent accessibility improvements are causing some investors to get very "excited" about Montenegro.
