More Brits look for overseas property in Turkey
Brits moving abroad are increasingly choosing Turkey as their destination of choice, which is good news for property investors in the country.
Turkey now sits in third place on the monthly list of popular overseas property destinations from property-abroad.com for October.
It has been suggested that the reason for this is the British currency's strength against the turkish lira, as the rate currently stands at 2.46 lira for every pound. This is much stronger than the pound's performance against the euro, which is just 1.1.
In the survey Turkey is faring better than a number of other European countries including France, Greece, Germany, Portugal and Italy.
Reports from the Turkish government suggest that the country's economy is set to grow next year despite problems recently. It also predicts that employment will rise.
Falling interest rates have seen property prices and rental rates improve in six of the countries major cities, according to Reidin.com.
