Morocco recommended to foreign property buyers

Overseas property investors have been advised to consider purchasing a residence in Morocco.

The north African country was highlighted by the Independent as a potentially good destination because it offers warm temperatures all year round.

This, it stated, means that owners of a foreign property could fly out to a sunny location at any time and escape the "miserable" weather in the UK.

Places such as Marrakesh were highlighted as good areas to consider, although the coast was also said to offer a range of choices.

The Independent commented: "It's easy to forget how miserable British winters can get.

"Grey skies and long, dark evenings suddenly make decamping to sunnier climes seem like a tremendous idea."

The publication added that Morocco could possibly be a better choice than some European nations because it was less likely to experience cold and wet weather.

Earlier this week, the country's popularity as a holiday destination was highlighted by employment minister Jamal Aghmani.

Speaking to the Maghreb Arabe Press, he said that tourism in Morocco was leading to the creation of thousands of new jobs.
