Morocco sees further development

Overseas property investors could be in line to benefit from further development in Morocco, a newspaper has suggested.

According to the Telegraph, the north African country offers a number of lifestyle attractions such as guaranteed sunshine.

However, the publication has also revealed that the government is aiming to encourage more holidaymakers to visit places such as Tangier.

Therefore, it has recommended that foreign buyers enter the market and take advantage of the investment opportunities this will create.

Commenting on the region's potential, the Telegraph said: "Tangier is one of 6 Moroccan locations identified by the government to boost visitors from 6 million annually to 10 million by 2011."

The newspaper added that 600 miles of new roads are being created, as well as a 24-mile tunnel between Tangier and southern Spain.

According to some industry analysts, growth in the Moroccan tourism sector could also lead to a surge in house prices.

As a result, NuWireInvestor has recommended that prospective investors consider entering the market before it peaks.
