New airport links for Portugal
A new airport has been given the go-ahead in the Algarve, news that may be of interest to potential property investors.
Officials at the Civil Aviation Authority have approved the plans that should see the Western Algarve region of Portugal receive greater transport links, reports Homes Worldwide.
Moreover, there are hopes that the new venue will attract a greater amount of low-cost airlines to the area, therefore enabling a greater amount of people to reach the facilities on offer.
This may not be the last such development in the region, as officials at the Plano Regional de Ordenamento do Territorio do Algarve have also stated that this may be the first of 3 planned new airports, increasing links to the remainder of the region.
It is believed that the airport will have a larger runway than the one based at Faro, further increasing possible traffic capacity.
In related news, Property for Sale in Central Portugal recently stated the central region of the country offers a good variety for investors.
