New flights to France launched from UK

Low-cost airline Flybe has started operating additional services between the UK and France.

The carrier is introducing the flights ahead of the summer holiday season, which suggests that France is expected to be a popular tourist destination for Britons this year.

This view was reinforced by Flybe chief commercial officer Mike Rutter, who encouraged people to make sure they book early in order to avoid missing out on the best deals.

Passengers can now fly directly between Glasgow and La Rochelle, while services from Newcastle to Rennes have also been introduced.

Furthermore, people living in Jersey can now benefit from flights to Nice and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

This is a further improvement to the accessibility of France from the UK and a sign that travel to the country is still in high demand.

Transport connections have also been improved by Eurostar, which recently began operating a high-speed rail link between London and Paris.
