New law 'to help Spain property market'

Confidence in the Spanish market could be increased due to a new law, according to reports.

It is hoped that the new law will help to manage the land more easily and help out in terms of sprawl and sustainability, reports Homes Worldwide.

The publication reports that it covers the Land Legal System, Property Valuation and Citizens Rights and Duties.

Under the new system citizens will now be able to have a say in the planning process in urban areas, while landowners will also have their own obligations.

Moreover, the public will have to be made aware of any fresh building developments.

Irwin Mitchell Abogados law company official Isabel Perez Blanco stated that the regulations should aid potential buyers.

"It appears that, in the most part, the new law will alleviate many concerns that people have surrounding buying a property in Spain," she told Homes Worldwide.

In other news, Spain is set to offer healthy living after the plantation of millions of new trees, the publication also reports.
