New Shannon-Paris flights launched
Transport links between France and the Republic of Ireland have received a further boost this week with the launch of new flights from City Jet.
Services between Shannon Airport in Dublin and Paris began operating on Monday, further opening up mainland Europe to Irish consumers.
The flights will be run twice a day from each destination, potentially boosting tourism and investment in both France and Ireland.
Commenting on the service, Geoffrey O'Byrne White of City Jet told RTE that it was getting strong support from the business community in particular.
Martin Moroney, director of Shannon Airport, added that it represented a significant improvement to the accessibility of mainland Europe to people in Ireland.
The improved transport links could help to encourage more people to consider France as a viable location in which to buy a property.
This is not without precedent, as currency specialist HiFX recently suggested that Eurostar's new rail link between Paris and London could encourage more Britons to purchase a French residence.
