Overseas investment may be lucrative
Property investors could potentially get good returns if they choose to invest in a foreign market, a media outlet has said.
According to the Telegraph, house prices in the UK are in decline and show no sign of increasing in the next few months.
Therefore, it has suggested that investors who want to make quick capital gains look elsewhere and consider buying abroad.
The newspaper stated that this could be a particularly good strategy for first-time buyers who are struggling to get on the housing ladder at home.
Since some foreign markets are experiencing considerable growth, people could potentially snap up a bargain before it appreciates in value.
The Telegraph commented: "First-timers could then cash in and have enough to climb onto that first rung."
According to Fair Investment Company, 44% of first-time buyers are thinking of buying abroad in order to save for a deposit for a British property, while 8% have already done so.
