Owners of rental accommodation in popular tourist hotspots can expect high demand this year, new research suggests.
According to a poll by TripAdvisor, most people in the UK are not planning to alter their summer holiday plans.
This is despite the fact that many are feeling the pinch from various economic problems, such as rising fuel costs and poor exchange rates.
Ian Rumgay, European communications manager at TripAdvisor, commented: "A summer holiday is a must-have for the British public."
He added that people from the UK are "determined" to have a good time this summer, regardless of the financial cost.
The findings will be good news for investors who depend on the tourism industry to generate rental yields.
This comes after NuBricks.com stated that the credit crunch is not putting people off travelling abroad, despite the "doom and gloom" in the media.
