Portugal 'appeals to all ages'
Portugal's Algarve region has a broad range of attractions to suit a range of different age groups, according to one holiday home owner.
Alfie Henighen told the Sunday Mail that he and his wife Eileen were drawn to the region because it had features that appealed to both of them, as well as their children.
He said that having dozens of quality golf courses in the vicinity was a strong incentive to buy a holiday home in the Algarve, as he is a keen player of the sport.
In addition, he stated that his wife has been able to enjoy the area's "gorgeous" beaches, as well as other recreational outlets such as shops and restaurants.
Mr Henighen commented: "It has the best of both worlds."
"I never thought we'd find a place that suited all of us, but Portugal fits the bill perfectly."
He added that the area's nightlife made the area particularly attractive to the couple's children, aged between 18 and 22.
This comes after the Algarve region was praised by David Brice of Golf International, who told PGATour.com that it offered world-class facilities to fans of the sport.
